Unmoored Cantilever | CUBICLE | April 19th, 2025

PRESS

Unmoored Cantilever explores the paradox of transition. Existing in a state of tension, one side anchors the other, extending into uncertainty. Artists emerge from institutional frameworks into a world that both invites and resists them. Shifting from one realm to another, they find themselves in a precarious state of extension. At this juncture, artists are suspended between fear and conviction, drive and hesitation. As artists navigating a shared reality, we move within the tension between institutional structures and individual convictions. Whether we embrace, extend, or challenge the foundations we inherit, our exploration is always anchored in our acquired perception. From this point of departure, we step into uncharted territory, not simply experimenting with artistic expression but negotiating our role within established frameworks.

This exhibition does not offer answers; instead, it presents tensions between presence and disappearance, weight and void, movement and inertia. Through painting, artists grapple with invisible forces that shape and suspend them. The cantilever extends, but where does it lead? The answer remains unknown, resting in the delicate balance of belief and uncertainty.
